Oxford College Summer School

Education

  • An exciting range of 2-week courses available to study, including Business, Computer Science, Medicine, Law, Politics, International Relations and Engineering

  • Students will take part in a series of immersive practicals, lectures, seminars and 2:1 tutorials designed to develop their academic knowledge and core study skills required for future success

  • Includes industry experience, the opportunity to engage with top industry professionals in a series of insightful and inspiring practical workshops connected with your chosen subject

  • 50 hours of academic content in the chosen subject delivered by specialist tutors

 Activities

  • Students enjoy a varied and carefully selected social programme: sports (including swimming, football, arts and yoga) shopping tours, cultural visits and Oxford sightseeing

  • Two full-day cultural excursions: students enjoy world-famous attractions, including London

  • A black-tie graduation ceremony to celebrate students’ achievements at the end of the course

 Accommodation & Welfare

Oxford College is located at two Oxford University Colleges: Wadham College and Wycliffe Hall. Take a virtual tour of Wycliffe Hall College here and Wadham College here.

Wadham College is located right in the city centre and consists of large, quiet grounds along with some of Oxford’s finest gardens and buildings. Wycliffe Hall is located in leafy North Oxford, a 20 minute walk from Oxford city centre. Our accommodation, meals, lessons and social activities, replicate the collegiate experience Oxford University students enjoy. We pride ourselves on offering the best possible care to students, and our friendly and supportive staff team are available 24 hours per day to support students.

We contract with Wadham College and Wycliffe Hall for use of their facilities.  Our programmes are in no way affiliated  or endorsed by the Colleges or Oxford University.

 

For students aged 15-17

Oxford College offers students the unique opportunity to live and study in the inspiring setting of Oxford University. Students will follow in the footsteps of some of the world’s greatest minds, as they explore their chosen subject through a series of engaging lectures, tutorials, and industry workshops, delivered by leading academics and professionals. Alongside a comprehensive academic curriculum, students will have the opportunity to explore Oxford with their peers, visit university colleges, and take part in wide variety of social events. This programme helps prepare for their future success in a world-famous setting.

2-weeks | Intermediate or Above (B1+)

Designed to develop an understanding of core business concepts relating to setting up a company, budgeting and finance, marketing, sustainability and growth, in a communicative and interactive environment.

International Relations

2-weeks | Intermediate or Above (B1+)

Designed for students who wish to develop their understanding of important international diplomatic bodies such as the UN, including how conflict occurs and diplomatic resolution can be achieved.

Ideal for ambitious students wishing to develop their understanding of the political landscape of the contemporary world in preparation for future studies.

Engineering

2-weeks | Intermediate or Above (B1+)

Strengthen your knowledge of key Engineering subject areas in both theory and practice. Learn how engineers work and gain unique, authentic and practical experience of working in Engineering through SBC’s industry experience programme.

Law

2-weeks | Intermediate or Above (B1+)

Students will develop an understanding of core concepts in the theory and practice of law, specifically including the fields of criminal, familial, tort and contract law.

Computer Science

2-weeks | Intermediate or Above (B1+)

Computer Science an immersive exploration of the dynamic world of coding set amidst the inspiring backdrop of Cambridge. This two-week course is an invitation for students aged 15-17 to embark on a transformative journey into the heart of computer science and programming. Prepare to equip yourself with essential skills and knowledge, unlocking the doors to success in the digital age.

Medicine

2-weeks | Intermediate or Above (B1+)

Our Medicine course is ideal for students who would like to find out what it is like to study Medicine at a university level. The course is developed and delivered in collaboration with The Medic Portal, the UK’s #1 medical university application providers.

Travel and Transfers

Summer Boarding Courses offers an Airport Transfer Service to the Oxford College Summer School for any flights to and from Heathrow Airport. This will be in operation throughout the scheduled arrival and departure days and available for all flights between 09.00 and 17.00 at a cost of £130 per journey. For any queries about flights scheduled outside these times, please speak with your Admissions Manager before finalising transfers.
